I have such fond memories of Gautam.  It is so hard to believe the news.  He was one of the most put-together people I've known.  Always a man with a plan and the confidence to execute it.  Always so balanced in every regard - both thought and action.  We spent so many amazing days together on our train journeys from Pune to KGP and then in the hostel.

His balanced approach and execution focus didn't stop him from exploring his creative side.  He was one of the best in dramatics in KGP which he continued with passion later in his life.  He always amazed us with his thoughtful and insightful writings via his blog on the Times of India.  His color commentary on the Indian cricket team and their performances on WhatsApp will be sorely missed.  And so will his pun-ful jokes he'd so make us all laugh with.
