Gosh, going to the Colorado State Fair, Haunted Houses, horror movie marathons, volunteering, beer bust, misfits Thanksgiving, Christmas lights at Water World.
In response to "What was the most fun you ever had with Gary?"
Fridays used to be our day. The day I looked forward to most each week. We'd begin with a silly good morning text, usually while you were sitting on the loveseat sipping away at your first cup of coffee. We'd share our dreams from the previous night, and together form a Game-Plan for the day. You'd send me a photo of Rachet laying on the back of the loveseat just above your head and we'd agree to start getting ready to go.

You'd shoot me a text to let me know you were rounding the corner by Skate City, and I knew you were only moments from my door. You'd always be smiling as you pulled up, and we'd exchange some jovial greeting and share a hearty laugh as we started the day. Usually we'd make a stop at Dutch Brothers for a tasty coffee treat, and you'd smile and say something funny to the person taking our order. I miss that smile, and how you always kept your big hands on the steering wheel.

Despite your many driving quirks, I always felt so safe riding with you to wherever we were going. I'd complain about how aloof you were to the drivers around you, but you'd turn to me and swat your hand as you always did when someone said something you didn't approve of.

We'd hit the car wash so your ride always looked its best, then we'd grab John 's dry cleaning and that ever important Bota Box Pinot Grigio. Sometimes we'd stop at Hooters or Fuzzy's for drinks and laughs, you'd dazzle the server with your smooth moves and playful banter. I'll never forget sitting outside Bad Daddy's watching you take in the mountain views and saying how much you loved Colorado.

Gosh, you loved tater tots! The parmesan truffle tots were your favorite. Those cravings for Sonic Cherry Limeade slushies and tots.

Sitting together watching horror movies and listening to you ask John "Is there nothing I can do"... That always made us laugh, because you were never the best kitchen helper. Haha, it's true, ask John.

All those times playing Uno, tactfully forming small alliances and "sticking it" to each other. Oh how you loved getting the draw four card.

I miss you, Gary. I feel not unlike a puppy sitting at the front door anxiously awaiting your return. Well my friend, I'll always be sitting on the veranda waiting for you, sipping a glass of juice staring at that perfectly manicured front yard.

It's Friday, yet again, only this time... I'll have to wait a little longer to see you again.

Never in my life have I hurt this much. You're not in the car heading home, you're not at home on the sofa, you're... You're simply gone. I will never experience another friendship like ours. You've taken me on a literal carpet ride around the very best that friendship has to offer.
It's been the greatest honor of my life being your bestie.
