Gary was highly involved in his community and enjoyed spending time with fellow members of First Congregational Church, The Mended Hearts, Lake Area Club, and Sons of American Legion 294.
Known for his outgoing, loving, generous, and slightly goofy nature, Gary was fond of spending time with his family and attending festivals. He was passionately dedicated to the cause of Mended Hearts and the people it served.
Living by the mantra, "If it’s something that can be fixed, fix it. If it can’t be fixed don’t worry about it and let it go", Gary was a beacon of strength and wisdom to those around him. One of his greatest accomplishments was achieving 30 years of sobriety and guiding others on their own paths to sobriety.
Gary's legacy is one of love, kindness, and service. His enduring positivity and warmth will be remembered fondly as his essence continues to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Gary’s presence will be deeply missed by his family, grandchildren, and friends.
