I knew Gary all too briefly, through his membership in the Europa Study Unit philatelic group. I met him at the summer stamp shows held by the American Topical Association, where we would share stories, swap stamps and go to dinner with his good friend Alex Cwiekalo. He was a good soul, and we will miss him.
