Gary's obituary

Gary Ray Hamner, 73, of Lemoore, CA passed away peacefully on October 16, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was the devoted husband of Linda and loving father of Jaime, Shan, and Teanah. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Our hearts are heavy with his absence.

Gary was born in July 1949 to Jerry and Doris Hamner in Coalinga, CA. After graduating from Avenal High School in 1967, he attended West Hills College in Coalinga. Upon graduation, Gary continued his studies at Fresno State University until he was drafted into the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Shortly after returning to Avenal he met Linda. The pair went on to marry in 1977 and they settled in Lemoore, CA.

He was a Journeyman Carpenter and worked in Construction throughout California. He retired after 30 years in the field. While retired, Gary had time to pursue coaching various sports , Golfing, Playing Cards, and learned how to farm. One of Gary's favorite past times was watching Fresno State football games.

Gary is survived by his wife, Linda, his son Jaime and wife Deborah, his son Shan and wife Elvia, his daughter Teanah and husband Brian, 7 Grandchildren, Ashley, Shawn, Danielle, Evan, Nicole, Sara, Sydney, and 1 Great-Grandchild, Salem. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Kay, Uncle Ted, Aunt Wanda, Aunt Faye, and Aunt Wanda Lee. Gary was predeceased by his parents, Jerry and Doris, Aunt Martha and Uncle Ed.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Sunday November 6th, 2022.
