It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary James Goodwin Sr., born October 13, 1951, who passed away at home August 29, 2023. 

Gary was Known affectionately as "Goodie" by many. Born in Sackville New Brunswick he was the son of the late Mary (Allen) Goodwin and James Arthur Goodwin. In his teens he became part of a large blended family. Survived my his wife Angela (Amirault) and step mother Pauline (Trenholm) sisters Debbie (Dave), Elaine (Darren), Tammy (Elvin), Leslie (Reggie) and brothers Blair (Suzanne), Brian(Dale),Glen. Also survived by his children Mary, Gary(Lisa), Adrian. His Grandchildren DJ, Timothy,  Victoria, Dakota, Amanda, Amy, Cassandra, Ashton, Roman and great grandson Leo and predeceased by granddaughter Ila. Also by many many nieces and nephews, and cousins

Gary was a long time truck driver, Just like his father, whether it was long haul or local. Owning his own truck for many years. Everyone was always welcome at the Goodwin garage, the place where everyone met at least once a year for a big bash. Gary was know for those blue eyes and dry sense of humor and known by everyone. Gary couldn't go to the store without running into someone and chat for hours. 

His spirit is carried on by his loving wife of 42 years, Angela Goodwin, along with a multitude of friends and family members touched by his presence. We celebrate his life on September 9th, from 2pm to 6pm at the Bedford Legion, 1772 Bedford Hwy
