We've been friends since we were around 8/9 years old. Gary loved Hip Hop & House Music, peaceful, loving, kind, great friend, loved to dance, strong work ethic, later a proud Dad. I could go on and on. I miss him, I'm sure many do.

In 1993, Gary and I was shopping for a crib for my then unborn son Xavier Sean Farmer. Gary wanted that to be his gift. At the time, my unborn son was not given a name. He spoke to me about the importance of the Farmer name and what it meant. Gary shared how his father was a hard working man and owned a very prosperous business. He also shared how they believed in family and being there for one another. I am so glad that we had that one-on-one conversation back in the summer of 1993. I would want Gary to know that his nephew, Xavier also known as "X" works very hard, believes in family values, and is community oriented. We thank Gary H. Farmer for being a great FARMER example, ideal human extraordinaire, dynamic citizen, and providing the importance of the Farmer legacy, name and family values! Gary, the legend, is missed but never forgotten!
Ma Connie (Connie Farmer) and to the entire family, thank you for sharing your son, brother, father, grandfather, nephew, uncle, cousin, with all of us!

I’m so out of words to express my feelings right now. I didn’t see this coming. I’m so numb. I pray that God will continue to bless and comfort your family in this time of grief.

Coach Gary - you were a role model for my Deuce, James and John. You helped and encouraged them to soar and handle life's challenges on and off the field. Your dedication to your players, fellow coaches and all that had the honor of knowing you was incredible. You in your "cargo shorts" were fixture at every Stepinac event!

Working at Stepinac basketball and football games for many years, I always made sure I said hello to Gary and we spoke each time
Tried knocking Gary off the Cowboy star on the Texas trip with Stepinac football
Spoke to him last before the game last Sunday
Saw him meet and hug Joel Soriano at halftime
May he test in peace

Rest in Peace buddy. Gonna miss Cigar time! Our last FJS project didn’t turn out the way we wanted, but it was still fun to do. Watch over all of the past, present and future Stepinac Boys.🙏🏼
