Gary Shane Edwards went home to Jesus on December 21, 2021 at the age of 47.

Shane was born to parents Billie Jean Edwards and Lee Edwards on May 3, 1974. As a child Shane loved riding his bicycle and playing sports.

Shane is survived by his ex-wife, Leigh Ann Warren. They had 2 children together-Caleb Edwards and Gracie Edwards.

In addition to being a loving father and son Shane also loved Alabama Football. Shane was passionate about poetry and reminding his family of his love for them through his writing. Throughout his life and struggles Shane held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those around him.

Shane joins his “best friend” and grandmother, Bonnie Folker, who is in Heaven. He is survived by his parents (Billie Jean and Lee Edwards), his children Gracie Edwards, Caleb Edwards (Autumn Carter), his siblings Renee Wright, Jerry Edwards (Wendy Edwards), Alana Godwin (Joey Godwin), his special friend Michelle Hydrick, aunt Rosa  Folker, Kelsey Folker, Uncle Kenneth Mitchell (Judy Mitchell), and numerous nieces and nephews.
