Gary Dean Nelson, age 67, passed away on September 7th, 2023. He was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Gary was born on September 16th, 1955 in Marysville, CA. Where he attended Browns elementary school, Wheatland High School & the Yuba College extension.

He later became a surveyor and owner/operator of Ability Surveying in Homer, Alaska. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. But more than anything, Gary was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, a devout member of his congregation.

In his free time, Gary enjoyed scuba diving, hunting, fishing, boating and was always eager to share adventure with others.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Stacey (Webb) Nelson his son Sailin Nelson, daughter Ellie (Dave) Huffstutler. Mother; Betty Nelson, Siblings; Sherry Osterli, Eric (Debbe) Nelson, Joan Miller and Janet Nelson. As well many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
