Gary Shannon Davisson
January 29, 1974 — March 1, 2026
A Life Defined by Devotion
The family of Gary Shannon Davisson is heartbroken to announce his sudden passing on March 1, 2026. Shannon was a man whose life was defined by a quiet strength and an unwavering commitment to those he loved. Known to most as Shannon, he was the eldest sibling in a large, tight-knit family and a cornerstone of support for his friends and community.
His Greatest Joy: Family
While Shannon pursued many passions throughout his life, his greatest pride and joy was his family. For years, Shannon and his wife, Angie, dreamed of becoming parents. That dream was realized in 2021 in a way that truly reflected Shannon’s character. He and Angie opened their hearts and their home to officially adopt three siblings from the foster care system.
Shannon didn't just become a father; he became a protector and a provider of the security and unconditional love these three boys had long deserved. He spent his final years dedicated to raising his sons, ensuring they knew the stability of a permanent, loving home.
A Sudden Farewell
Shannon’s passing was as sudden as it was tragic. Following a very brief battle with pneumonia, he succumbed to multisystem organ failure. His departure leaves a profound void in the lives of his wife, who is currently navigating her own health challenges following a recent stroke, and his three teenage sons, who must now navigate the world without their father's guidance.
Those Who Honor His Memory
Shannon is survived by:
His beloved wife: Angie Davisson
His three sons: Brandon, Steven, and Buckley
His parents: Gary and Flora Davisson
His siblings: Charlotte Center, Melissa Colwell, Michelle Biery, Matthew Davisson, and Sierra Hoffman
Extended Family: Numerous nieces, nephews, and a community of friends who will miss his presence dearly.
"The weight of grief is heavy, but the weight of love is what carries us through."
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider supporting Angie and the boys as they face significant health and financial hurdles. The goal is to surround them with the same security Shannon worked so hard to provide, allowing Angie to focus on her healing and her children.
