Background

Our family is devastated by the sudden loss of Gary Shannon Davisson, our oldest sibling, and a loving husband, father to three teenage boys, son, and friend. Although Shannon had many passions in life, his greatest by far was his family. Although they always wanted to be parents, Shannon and his wife, Angie, could not have kids biologically. However, in 2021, they were blessed with an instant family when they officially adopted three siblings who had already endured more than most kids should ever have to. The boys spent many years in the foster care system before finally becoming part of a family that provided them with the love and security they deserved.
However, on March 1, 2026, Shannon lost his life after a very brief bout of pneumonia led to multisystem organ failure. Angie and the boys are now faced with living life without their husband and father. As Angie and the boys attempt to process this loss, our hope is to surround them with support and take as much weight off their shoulders as possible. Angie recently suffered a stroke, and her health remains a concern, as well as a barrier to some daily living tasks like driving. The emotional weight of grief is heavy enough and we want to bear some of the financial load so that Angie can focus on healing and spending as much time with the boys as possible.
Any money raised through this campaign will go directly toward immediate living expenses for the family, medical costs and ongoing health care for Angie, providing stability for the boys during this transition, and setting aside resources to support the boys’ futures, including education and other opportunities. If you are able to give, any amount makes a difference. If you are not able to give, sharing this page and keeping this family in your prayers means more than you know. Contribute
