So sorry to hear this. Gary was one hell of a guy. Enjoyed talking to him at the races, he was a heck of a racer. Always had a smile. He and the entire family was always nice to me and my family. I remember him riding backwards on his motorcycle through the campsites.  Always had time to stop and talk and give his opinion on the conversation. Condolences to all the family at this trying time. Prayers to all of you

Yes, I knew Gary Charters, raced with him and sorry to hear of his passing. Didn't know he was living in Oak Ridge or I would have gone to see him.
