I just came across Gary's obit. I was sorry to read of his passing but very glad to learn he lived a full and meaningful life.  We knew each other back in our Ridgeview Junior High and Napa High days, He was a good man then and it is obvious he stayed that way throughout his life. Gary beat me out for a league batting title in our mid-teens (we played on the same team)---but was characteristically humble about it, claiming he had a lot of lucky hits. No way---he hit nearly .700 that year. You do not hit .700 by being lucky! Of course, he loved teasing me about it too. A great guy, a good friend, and a terrific kidder.  I will always remember him that way.

What an honor it has been to have Gary and Kathy as our friends. I’ll never forget our friendship beginning the moment they backed in their motor home next to ours in Rapid City SD.  Little did we realize then all the adventures and great conversations we would share over the next 15 plus years.  We are so glad Kathy is near her wonderful family who both herself and Gary shared such pride in.
