Gary W. Bohon, 72, Newport News, VA, passed on Monday, March 2, 2026 at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, VA.

He was born October 29, 1953, in Kirksville, MO, the son of Edward R. Bohon and Alice F. Cobb. He was raised by his grandparents, Ira and Lucy Cobb. He married Marilyn A. Ragar, December 4, 1973, in Emden, MO. She preceded him in death, July 25, 2006.

Survivors include his daughter, Stacy A. Bohon, grandson, Aiden I. Bohon and granddaughter, Payton A. Bohon, all of Newport News, VA, three sisters, Shirley Neaterour, Shelbina, MO, Betty Douse, Hannibal, MO, and Mary (Ed) Franklin, Seguin, TX, and one brother, Kilby (LuAnn) Bohon, Palmyra, MO, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Dustin D. Bohon and his brother, Jim Bohon.

Mr. Bohon graduated from North Shelby High School in 1972. He worked at Ramsey-Jones Mobile Homes for 34 years and retired from Lomax Trucking. He spent his last years enjoying time with his daughter and grandchildren and offering endless belly scratches and treats to his best friend, Bella.

A private service will be held at a later date.
