Reflecting on Garrett’s life and the legacy he leaves the world, I’m reminded of The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats (Matthew 25:31-46), the key verse here being: “‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

As his brother-from-another-mother (a phrase he taught me), Garrett’s love for life and the example he set in putting the Gospel into action will live on in my heart always. You were larger than life, G - may you find rest in the arms of Our Lord and Savior.
