Obituary

Gangwei Lin, known to many of us as John, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026. John was born December 7, 1952 to Chou-Hsn Lin and Chey-Yi in Taiwan. His youth was spent in Taiwan where he pursued his love for tennis, studied law and received a law degree and was trained as an opera singer. In 1972 John played an epic tennis match for the Taiwan Davis Cup Team lasting more than 5 hours-which …
