Our Mother and Grandmother Galina Hill born on February 10, 1940 in Leningrad, Russia as Галина Павловна Кириллова (Galina Pavlovna Kirillova), passed away on May 3, 2025. She graduated from Leningrad State University in 1962 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and then went on to defend her PhD thesis in electrochemistry in Professor Valery Kravtsov's lab. She worked in positions with increasing responsibility at Sechenov Institute of Evolutionary Biology and Biochemistry until her departure …
