In loving memory of Galen Griffin, who passed away on August 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father Vernon, mother Irene Catherine, and beautiful sister Nadine Griffin. He is survived by his immediate family, sister Chantal Riley Griffin, niece Renee Riley, great niece and nephew Alexandre, Nikki, and Heather. Galen was the devoted husband of Liliana Griffin and loving father of Joanna Catherine, Mariah Breeanne, Stephanie Anne, Galen Vernon Jeremiah, Kayla Breann, Eric Christian, Galen Paul, and Viviana Nadine. He will be carried on through all of his grandchildren, Allison, Annabelle, Bryant, Kaeden, Aadyn, Brielle, Eric, and Ares. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. He was a man of strong faith and acceptance. Galen was passionate about the recovery community, acquiring his Psychology degree and going on to become a peer coach cooridinator, positively impacting many lives. There will be an aching void in the hearts of his family and community, missing his big smile and contagious energy. 

Visitation will be held August 25, 2023 at 6pm in the evening at The Elgin Funeral Home- 712 N Avenue C, Elgin, Texas 78621. Services will be held the following day August 26, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Elgin- 302 W 11th Street, Elgin, Texas 78621. 

Father, you are now at peace but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
