Gail's obituary

Gail Elyse Patterson, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, at the age of 81 in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Born on May 10, 1943, in Fort Worth, Texas, Gail's life was a testament to the power of kindness and devotion.

Gail's early years in Fort Worth laid the foundation for a life filled with love and service. After graduating from Fort Worth High School, she embraced the role of a lifetime as a wife and mother. Gail married her beloved husband, Greg, and together their partnership that would span decades. Her dedication to her family was unwavering as she raised her three daughters, Stacy, Melissa, and Grace, with strength and compassion.

Gail's home was always filled with warmth and laughter, and she was the heart of every family gathering. She lovingly attended every practice, recital, and school event, cheering on her daughters and later her eight grandchildren, Ashley, McKenzie, Cole, Cade, Taylor, Sydney, Daphne, and Rebecca. The joy of her family expanded with the arrival of her great-grandchild, Alisyn, who she loved doting on.

Her role as a mother and homemaker was just one facet of Gail's rich life. She was deeply involved with her church, 12 Stone, where she attended every service with a spirit of grace and generosity. Gail's faith was the cornerstone of her existence, and she shared the word of God with an open heart, inspiring those around her to seek comfort and guidance in their own faith.

Gail's creative spirit found expression through her art. An incredible painter, she continued to create stunning works of art well into her eighties. For Gail, painting was not just a hobby but a form of worship, a way to connect with the divine beauty of the world. Her artwork was a reflection of her inner light, and it brought joy to all who had the privilege of experiencing it.

Those who knew Gail will remember her as a loving, faith-filled, and kind soul. She had an innate ability to see the good in people and to make each person feel valued and loved. Her legacy is one of unwavering support, selfless love, and a deep commitment to her faith and family.

Gail's life was a beautiful portrait of devotion, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide her family for generations to come. She is survived by her husband, Greg; her daughters, Stacy, Melissa, and Grace; her grandchildren, Ashley, McKenzie, Cole, Cade, Taylor, Sydney, Daphne, and Rebecca; and her great-grandchild, Alisyn.

As we bid farewell to Gail Elyse Patterson, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and passion. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her loved ones and all who were touched by her gentle spirit. Though she has left this earthly realm, her light will continue to shine brightly through the lives of those she loved so dearly.
