Ed - my hearts aches for you and your family. As you know, I never met Gail in person, but it feels like I did having listened to your kind and loving words about your true love. I am so sorry my friend.

Hearing this sad news just breaks my heart for you all, Ed, Geoffrey, & Katie. We shared a big part of our lives together here in the Chicago Naperville/Wheaton area while our children were young, and we were part of our kids playgroup supporting each other through the good as well as any difficult times. The benefit was also having the friendship and fun we had with the families of the group. Backyard coffee, holiday dinners, themed mystery dinners, golfing, birthdays, girls nights out, etc. The ebs and tides of life happened, kids grew, and we didn't keep in touch as we should have, but the good memories will always remain in our hearts of having shared that piece of life we had together. Jim and I are sending prayers of strength to you all to get through this difficult time now and in the difficult days that undoubtedly you'll find ahead. Hugs from Naperville, Pam & Jim Dennison and family

Dear Ed, Katie and Geoffrey,
I was so sad to hear the news about Gail. We were friends in the 90s in a Naperville/ Chicago playgroup started when our eldest children ( mine was Hannah) were babies. We moved back to Europe ( Germany then England) in the 90s and lost touch. But I will always remember how much fun Gail was and her amazing karaoke performance of The Girl from Ipanema . She was such a kind person too . Klaus, Hannah, Kat and I send our heartfelt condolences.
