Gail's obituary

On November 8th at the age of 60, Gail Heaven King left this earth to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She is free from all pain and suffering and enjoying fellowship with her loved ones who went before her. She asks that you join her someday by making the Lord Jesus your Savior.

Gail was born on February 25, 1964, to Donald and Mary Kay Heaven in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her early years were spent in Ada, Michigan. At the age of five, her family moved to Hesperia, Michigan, where she lived and attended Hesperia school as a member of the Hesperia Class of 1982. Gail attended Lake Superior State University and Grand Rapids Community College, earning an Associate of Liberal Arts. In 2013 Gail moved to Buckley, Michigan, where she married her husband James King. While there, she became an active and loyal member of The Buckley Tabernacle. She also loved working with children in the Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) for six years, where she was known as “Miss Gail” by many of the students.

Gail is survived by her husband, James King; her daughter, Hannah Joy Kidder (Corbin); Hannah’s father, Theodore Kidder; step children Jason King (Kathy); Justin King; Allison King (Matthew); her mother, Mary Kay (Scripps) Heaven; brothers Jerry Heaven (Diane); and Douglas Heaven (Tricia); sister, Joy Heaven; sister-in-law Connie Kreiser (Craig); grandchildren, Charity Stachnik-King (Garrett); Maci Stachnik-King; Jillyanna King; Jaxon King; Nathan Stachnik-King; great grandson, Paxton; nieces and nephews Jessica, Bryan, Cody, Katie, Missy, Matt, Amber, Lexie and Kelby.

Visitation will be held from 9:30–11 a.m. and the service will start at 11 a.m. with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to help with expenses during this time.
