Gail Sophia Chudacoff, 96 years old, of Anaheim Hills, CA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on March 06, 2023.  

The fifth of ten children, Gail was born on May 19, 1926 to Anastasios Karlas and Ourania Logothetis in Newark, NJ. Often referring to their home as "Little Greece," Gail adored her parents and was very proud of her Greek heritage. She loved telling stories to her grandchildren about her mother's Egyptian upbringing and world travels, Papa's Greek restaurant and the shenanigans she and her siblings would get into.

After Gail graduated from high school in Neenah, Wisconson, she attended the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee. Gail loved writing poetry, acting and painting and continued her studies in Northern California.

 In 1952, she met Burt Chudacoff in Los Angeles, CA. They were married in 1953 and had three children, Bruce, Susan and Stacie. 

Gail is preceded in death by parents, Anastasios Karlas and Ourania Logothetis; siblings Jane Long, Terry Nienkamp, Gus Karlas, Hope Karlas, Lucy Ann Petos, Jim Karlas, George Karlas and Tina Powers Stanfield. She is survived by dear sister Rose Strich, children Bruce Chudacoff, Susan Strauss, Stacie Clark, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

We will dearly miss Granny Gail's infectious laughter, unconditional love and good humor.

A graveside service and burial will be held on April 6th at 11am in the Garden of Freedom at Cherokee Memorial Cemetery, 14165 Beckman Rd, Lodi, CA 95240 with a reception to follow. Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly.
