Buddy Bey, from Baste to Uste moving on to Tate, you’re always there at ready to lend a helping hand. Since seeing you in Daly City at DMV my 2nd Day here in the US of A, my circle of friends just got a lot bigger. Will be missing your calls, tagging me along to your Family and Friends’ get together. Whatever life’s throws at you, you’re big smiles gets you through them and as you aged your heart just got bigger needing a pacemaker just to keep up. Rest In Peace, Buddy 🙏🏽 #gone2soon

“Someday you will be faced with the reality of a loss. And as life goes on, days rolling into nights, it will become clear that you never really stop missing someone special who’s gone, you just learn to live around the gaping hole of their absence. When you lose someone you can’t imagine living without, your heart breaks wide open, and the bad news is you never completely get over the loss. You will never forget them. However, in a backwards way, this is also the good news. They will live on in the warmth of your broken heart that doesn’t fully heal back up, and you will continue to grow and experience life, even with your wound. It’s like badly breaking an ankle that never heals perfectly, and that still hurts when you dance, but you dance anyway with a slight limp, and this limp just adds to the depth of your performance and the authenticity of your character. The people you lose remain a part of you. Remember them and always cherish the good moments spent with them.”

We all learned how to be a kind, loving and gentle person because of Gabe. His demeanor really made an impact in our Family's lives. He did the simple things well by listening and spending time with us and preparing a meal and getting to know every single one more each day can be special moments since He had a genuine and sincere heart. He never got upset and never projected any frustration regardless of any situation. He was also a truly honorable person and lived his life with Integrity. He will be missed by everyone in our Family...May He Rest In Peace. Amen.
All the times we shared with Gabe were fond and cherished memories; the cruises, Hawaii trip, get-togethers, on-line conversations, etc. He was always the “ life of the party”. Never a dull moment with him. I remember the time when he was getting ready to move to Southern California. Knowing that Susan and I haven’t really toured the city of San Francisco, he volunteered to drive us around and check out the various tourist spots and
historical places. I even suggested that he would be an awesome tourist guide.
Every time we get together, we would do the “belly bump”.
We’ll miss everything that you are, Gabe. Rest in Peace and Love.

So proud and fortunate to be related. Loved sharing and laughing, reminiscing and exchanging childhood memories.

BEY—Friend
Am grateful, and forever remembering the fun times spent together. Not to mention, the serious conversations for our ears alone.

I wish it could’ve been longer, but will just keep and treasure those short moments we had.

I once read something that helped at a time like this:
“You can shed tears that he’s gone, or you can smile because he lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him, or you can be full of the love that you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow, because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he is gone,
or you can cherish his memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty,
and turn you back, or you can do what he would want – smile, open your eyes, love,
and go on.”

But I will still miss you, Gabriel.❤️
Bey is the youngest among the 4 brothers & one younger sister in our family. Even when we’re growing up you’ll notice that Bey loves life and enjoyed everybody’s company. Everyone in our neighborhood young and old were his friends. He maintained the same trait up until the end of his life. Every time anyone needs his help he was always generous with his time even material things if needed. He enjoyed life to its fullest and at the same time cared deeply for his loved ones, specially his children, grandchildren and the rest of our family and his life long friends. I will missed him and sad that he’s gone, but thankful for having him as my brother & a wonderful gift from God to our family. Bey Rest In Peace now and till we meet again.

Bey, our thoughts and our heart is with you. You’ve been very kind and helpful to the young and old. We will missed the food trip whenever we’re all together. Eternal lights shine upon your soul Bey and May you Rest In Peace.
You will always be in my heart and I know and felt the love we shared. We may have not made it together to the 103 that you promised but we both are crazy in love. You will always be in my heart. Love you Bebe
Bey’s smile and big heart are the things I always reminds me of him. Bey taught me how to drive. He was calmed and patient even during the time I was driving on the wrong side of the street.
Bey you will be missed but never forgotten. God Bless brother!
My sincerest condolences to his children: Jonathan, Melissa and Eric and to his siblings and relatives.

Being Bey’s only Sister and the youngest in the family, I cherish the time growing with him who was always protective of me. Bey always had a smile on his face and my Mom nicknamed him “guwapo” or good looking which he liked. Bey was always getting into mischievous things growing up but always helpful to anybody that needs it. I will miss Bey’s regular calls and corny jokes but most of all his warmth as a Brother. Rest In Peace 🙏
In response to "What made Gabriel different from most people you know?"
Whenever I think about Gabriel “Bey” as he is affectionately known to family and close friends, it brings me back to this happy go lucky guy in bell bottoms, mini Afro, who always had a big smile. When I first arrived in the US, he took me, along with friends Pai, Manny, Car and Tony to a disco, and in a spur of the moment Bey decided to take us to Lake Tahoe in the middle of winter, with me still dressed in a summer dress and open toed sandals. Once we arrived in the snow it wasn’t long after that I stopped feeling my toes. It got a big laugh out of the group. That was Bey, a spur of the moment kind of guy.
Condolences to the family of Gabriel. I will truly miss his bright smile and warm greetings every time we met. Rest In Peace.🙏
