I'm so sorry for the loss of Gabe. I'll always think of him whenever I am over in the neighborhood. He was always a bright light and brought a sense of calm to everyone. He will be missed and never forgotten!

Gabriel, my heart is in pieces. You made a difference every single day in so many ways. You touched our hearts and radiated joy wherever you went. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and for all you accomplished in your short years on this earth. My deepest sympathies to your family and loved ones. I love you unconditionally and forever, papito lindo, el parcerito, my #1 Skype bro, my Colombianito bello. Que Dios me lo bendiga siempre y que en paz descanse.

It was my Honor to be one of Gabriel’s UConn MSW Professors. Gabriel was the definition of “Un Macho” - Gallant, Kind and Always Committed to Helping Others. As we know “He Died Too Young” but in his time on this earth he made such a difference to All Who Were Fortunate to have Him Touch Their Life.
My Condolences to his family - who he often spoke of with Such Love and Appreciation
