Freeman Durrell's obituary
Freeman Durrell Echols, 32, of Fort Worth, TX passed away on August 14, 2023, after a full and vibrant life. Lovingly known as Durrell to family and as "Slim" to his friends, he grew up in Fort Worth, TX and was known to bring laughter and a bright smile. He graduated form Crowley High School in 2009 and earned multiple certifications, including Forklift Operations and Welding. He was a fan of Anime, Comedy, Chicken Nuggets, and French Fries, and he loved all of food plain...except for his Mama's Green Beans, Mac & Cheese, Fried Catfish, and Fried Porkchops - he ate those however she made them!
He was a loving father to Re'Yonna, who he affectionately called "Mo-Mo." She was both his inspiration and the light of his life. He is survived by his mother and father: Freeman and Michelle Echols, his "big head" sister and beautiful niece: Frechelle Echols and Naima Rivers, his little sis, brother-in-law and nephew: Shanice, Blake, and Aedan Jefferson, his love and his daughter: Te'Yonna Samuels and Re'Yonna Echols, his grandfather: "Highway Slim" Thomas Freeman Echols, and a host of relatives, church family, and friends. Durrell will be dearly missed and always remembered.
