We are sad to announce the passing of Fredrick W. Storms (Stash) of Deland, Florida.  Fred died at the age of 83 on December 11, 2022.  Fred passed away surrounded by his love ones after a battle with dementia.  

The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.   There will be a Celebration of Life in New York sometime in the spring of 2023.  

Fred was a wonderful father who would do anything for anyone.  He worked for the United State Postal service for 34 years.  He lived most of his life in Brewster, NY and retired to Deland, FL in 1999.  Fred was very active and loved to walk/jog.  He also enjoyed playing basketball and softball when ever he had the chance especially with the family.  

Fred was born to Celia and Lester Storms on June 8, 1939.  He was predeceased by his siblings Flo, Charlie, Pat, Mary and his son Tommy.  Fred is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joann and his children, Fredrick(Susan), daughter Melissa, son Stephen (Joann).  Fred is also leaving behind his grandchildren Kevin, Josh, Hayden, Nina, Crystal, Thomas Jr. Tiffany, Stephen Jr and great-grand children Sophia, Noah, Izzy, Thomas, Juliana, Hunter and Anthony.  He is also survived by his sisters Debbie, Sharon, Ginger, and Rosie. 

Family is asking for donations to be made in Fred's name to the Dementia Society of America.
