Fredrick "Dave" Meyers jr, 78, of Slidell, LA, passed away on January 25, 2023 

Dave was born on 12-4-1944  to Fredrick D Meyers Sr and Anna Meyers in California.  After graduation, he landed his first job in the air force marines . In 1967 he met Patricia Wilt Lawler, and they wed in 1969, going on to have 5 children, Hershel Meyers, Kimberly Meyers, Tammy Meyers Riffe, Gigi Meyers Cortez and Eric Xavier Meyers. Dave was also a passionate for camping fishing and hunting. when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew Dave knew that he was fun to be around, always cracking jokes and just being him. Dave was predeceased by his father Fredrick Meyers sr, mother Anna Meyers, sister Andrea Meyers Haggelberger and daughter Kimberly Meyers. He is survived by his children's mother (ex wife) Patricia Wilt Lawler, his son Hershel Meyers, his daughter Tammy Meyers Riffe and spouse Ronald Riffe, his daughter Gigi Meyers Cortez and spouse George Cortez, his son Eric Meyers and spouse Angie Meyers, his brother Valance Meyers and spouse Cathy Meyers, he has 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to the veterans memorial on airport Rd. in Slidell La. There will not be a service as the funeral was already held and kept secret from his children! His funeral was on February 15 2023. His daughter is planning a celebration of his life soon. This will be updated when date is arranged. For all family and friends of his whom would like to be there.     R.I.P.  Daddy.... I love you and I always did and I always will!
