Fredericka Georgette Afflerbach-Smith passed away January 24, 2020 after a long and courageous 6 year battle with bone marrow cancer. Freddy was born on September 21, 1972 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Maryann Helena Afflerbach (Spouse Roy). Freddy is survived by her daughter Ashley McEnroe (Mike) and grandson Nicholas Frederick . She has 5 siblings; Madeleine Stein(spouse Richard), Janie Picciano (Spouse Anthony), Maryann Enciso (Spouse Tony), Johanna Canizzaro (Spouse Vincent), and James Afflerbach (Spouse Jennie). She had three nieces (Victoria, (Spouse Lenny) Angelina, and Tanda) and one grand-niece (Anjolie). Freddy worked at Bancroft as a Rehabilitation Specialist and Manager. She helped men and women who suffered from traumatic brain injuries. Freddy went to school at night and the weekends while raising her daughter Ashley to earn her Bachelors degrees from Rutgers University with honors in Social Services. Freddy’s biggest accomplishment was her beautiful daughter Ashley had her grandson Nicholas. Freddy loved life and was always joking around and making people laugh. Her sisters nicknamed her “Betty Lou” and she will always be our precious baby sister. Services will be held at Trinity Catholic Chapel, 12 North Jerome Ave, Margate, NJ 08402 on January 29, 2020 at 10:00 am.
