Frederick's obituary
Retired Florida Parole Commissioner Frederick Blaise Dunphy (1950-2026) of Tallahassee passed away early Friday morning. He is survived by his wife, Donna, his sons Scott (Merrick) and Ryan (Joanne), five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his sister, Heather,. He was predeceased by his father, Frederick Leonard, his mother Yvonne, his step-father MJ Ernst, and his sisters Charlene and Linda.
Fred to his friends and peers in the law enforcement community and Blaise to his family, he lived a life dedicated to service, family, church, and baseball. His large, extended family was enriched by his caring wisdom, humour, and adventurous spirit. He was an avid camper, a world traveler, a church deacon, a youth sports coach, an Indian Guide leader, and a wonderful brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be missed beyond measure.
Celebration of Life at Pisgah Methodist Church, 11 am on Monday, 19 January. Reception to follow. The family would appreciate donations in his name to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches.
