We have known Freddie since1962, when he was a handsome bachelor dating my Aunt Ann. That’s when he began his role as the Fairy Godfather in our family. He was the ideal son-in-law to my grandmother, always doing for her and at her beck and call (which had to be a challenge). He was a great brother to my mother and father; co-coaching little league, remodeling and painting our home, traveling and visiting east coast beaches, and co-parenting my brothers and me. Freddie was more like a father than an uncle to us. For years he took us vacationing up and down the East coast and seeing all the sights, hitting the beaches and amusement parks. We visited Washington D.C., Palisades Amusement Park, NewYork City, the World’s Fair, Lake George, Storytown, Boston and dinner at the swanky General Glover, Lynn Massachusetts and eating whole lobsters in a seaside apartment. And of course the wonderful visits to the farm in Mechanicsville. It was an idyllic childhood thanks to Annie and Fred. In later years, when they had their own grown children, we vacationed with all the cousins and our parents on Oak Island, NC. He was bigger than life! And how true, “it was always fun when Fred was driving the bus! We will never forget your humor, and generosity, patience and exuberance. Love always from the MacLarens.

Laura, Mary, Julie and Sandy--
I was sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Chlopecki ( I can't call him Fred).
He always had a smile on his face and was friendly whenever and wherever you saw him.

There was no doubt about how much he loved and cared for his girls.
I have very special memories of being around your family. Time has definitely gone bye and seems just like yesterday my sisters were yelling
" Call Call Pecki " off our Orchard St. Porch as you guys passed.

I am sorry I won't be at the service Wednesday and will be thinking of you. I talked to my Dad today who said " Freddy was a real good guy" - I agree and I feel that statement says it all.

I don't think I am really Catholic any more maybe Catholic Lite - maybe a little Buddhist since I do like meditation and mindfulness part -but more just trying to be a decent person every day. I do have morning tradition of saying some morning prayers after my alarm goes off to I guess whomever is listening. I will be saying some prayers for Mr. Chlopecki and the 4 of you this week.
Sincerely
Mark Bevevino

For Fred’s family I send my sincere condolences.   I’ve become to know an admirable, kind and gentle man in Fred.  It’s amazing the excellent role model for men, fathers and husbands that Fred displayed.  He certainly served his community well with coaching and supporting worthy endeavors.  I’m sure his fine temperament excelled him in his business life also.  His life is to be celebrated for all he chose to challenge and accomplished.   May he rest in Peace.

Mary, Laura snd Julie-  so sorry for your loss.  You all and your dad are in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart is heavy after hearing about Fred’s passing. I met Fred back in the early nineties. I helped keep stats for his girls softball team and I worked with him at Whirley Industries.  Most importantly, Fred was responsible for Alec and I being together.  He was persistent until we finally started dating.  He was also responsible for giving us our first doggie Mandy.  Although we lost touch over the last several years, he will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you Fred! Fly high! Love, Smith
Fred was a good man! He and Ann were dear friends of my parents when they lived on Maple Place. Fly high my friend!

Fred was a true gentleman, and I will miss his words when I would go to his office at Struthers-Wells ," Now what the hell do you want" and then his chuckle, Fred always made time for your concerns ,even if he was busy. Fred will be missed by all of us that knew him. I was so glad to visit with Fred at the Struthers-Wells reunion. Rest in peace Fred, you have labored hard.
So sorry to hear of Fred's passing, I worked with Fred at Struthers Wells for quite a few years, always enjoyed chatting with him and it was great to see him last September @ the Struthers Reunion.  My sincere sympathy to the family at this sad time.
