I had the privilege of working with Fred and Dottie, and sharing lots of wonderful memories. I remember being with Fred and five other females at a restaurant in Manhattan. The curious waitress asked Fred, "Who are these six females with you?" With a sense of pride, Fred responded, "Oh, these are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday." The waitress replied, "What about Sunday?" Without missing a beat, Fred retorted, "Oh, Sunday's my day off." That was Fred! Smart, clever, funny and a joy! And Dottie is the sweetest, most generous person I've ever known, to share those laughter-filled times (with Fred providing the entertainment) at her grandmother's farm. Love, Joan
Fred was my brother-in-law. He was the oldest of the three Brush brothers. Fred was so very talented in his painting, and design ideas and just an all-around creative guy with a sense of adventure, who loved to laugh and cared deeply for his family and friends. Fond memories include all the family gatherings in Connecticut and of course the fun visits to Sagalot in Massachusetts. Freddy, you will be missed a lot!
I was so sad to hear of Fred's passing. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of Fred, Dottie and David at Sagalot. I loved Fred's sense of humor and my parents and I had such fun and crazy times with him.
Fred was my father and he was extremely supportive of me my whole life. His painting and design skills were exceptional and I was always proud to show off his work to my friends.
