Fred's obituary
With great sadness and true sense of loss we announce the passing of our father Frederic “Fred” Kurzhals, he returned to the Lord on February 10, 2022. Born in Detroit, Michigan on January 13, 1946. Although being from Michigan, he spent half of his life in Florida, a state he loved.
He was a fifty-year Mason. Member of Eastern Star and Former Advisory Board Member for the International Order of Rainbow for Girls and DeMolay. Member of the Loyal Order of Moose, including Administrator of the Ocala Lodge #1014. Truly embodied a Life of Service.
Fred was a kind and loving man, always willing to help where needed. He enjoyed working in the Culinary industry and was involved with some very notable restaurants and events during his career. Being sort of a character himself, he was best known for colored suits. Fred enjoyed food of all kinds, but especially ice cream.
His main love was his family. He was blessed with three children and four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, and although there being some distance, he loved them all very dearly.
To many he was teacher or was sought out for advice and counsel.
Frederic Marc Kurzhals was predeceased by his wife Darlene “Dar” Kurzhals. Parents Hazen and Virginia Kurzhals. Raised by Frances Bilpo & Freda Higgins. Sisters Jean Bocan and Saundra Tucker.
