Obituary
Fred Etcheberry was born on June 21, 1933 in Reno, NV to Paul and Marie Etcheberry who were Basque immigrants from France. He had two older brothers, Paul and Pete, who preceded him in death. In 1939 the family moved to California. Fred grew up in downtown Stockton where his parents owned The Basque Hotel located on the corner of San Joaquin and Sonora.
