Fred's obituary
Fred Alvin Daniels III was born in 1946, in Ames, Iowa to Fred Daniels, Jr. and Virginia (Carlberg) Daniels and passed away peacefully in Denver, CO on March 11, 2024 with his wife and daughter by his side.
Fred graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in Des Moines, Iowa and attended college at Drake University. He had a passion for music, especially Jimmy Buffet, the Rolling Stones and anything jazz. Fred was a lifelong sports fan following his beloved Iowa Hawkeyes, New York Yankees, and Las Vegas Raiders, and attended the 1972 Olympics in Munich. He cared deeply for animals, especially his many cats and dogs. Fred dedicated his career to growing the resort industry which took him and his family to over a dozen states and British Columbia, Canada. Throughout his travels he met many different friends, and these friendships were held extremely near and dear to his heart. Preceding Fred in death are his parents. He is survived by his wife Donna (McKay) Daniels, children Kristin Daniels, John Daniels and Dan (Julie) Hayward, grandchildren Elsa Ross and Liam Hayward, sister Juliann Cullen and niece Amanda Cullen.
Fred will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and many friends.
