Fred's obituary
Fred Wesley Bishop, 59, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away peacfully at home on April 4th, 2025.
Born on November 19th, 1965 in Boynton Beach, FL, he was raised by his father Marion Bishop and loving stepmother, Doris Bishop. Fred was a veteran of the Florida National Guard and while raising his children in the Glades, Fred took pride in his career with Hugh Branch.
Throughout his life Fred was known for his love of being out on the water, both swamp and salt, riding his motorcycle, and was an avid gun enthusiast. Fred was a passionate dancer, often bringing joy to his friends and family, and was truly the life of the party.
Above all his accomplishments, Fred was most proud of being a great father, grampy, and friend, always there for those in need. He loved his children from Coast to Coast. His infectious spirit and loving heart made it impossible for anyone around him not to smile.
He is survived by his three children, Kyle Bishop (Taylor) of Port St. Lucie, Fl, Kayla Zabriskie (John) of Fort Pierce, Fl, & Tiffany Clay (Brandon) of Leitchfield, Ky, along with his eight beloved grandchildren, Corbin, Kollyns, Kylie, Kolter (arriving June 25’), John, Averie, Annistyn, & Atalie.
Fred was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Bishop, as well as his father, Marion Bishop, his stepmother Doris Bishop and mother Agnes Bishop Oyster.
A Celebration of Life for Fred will be held at The Okeechobee Pavilion at Slim’s Fish Camp at 5000 West Canal Street North in Belle Glade, FL, on April 27th from 2:30-5:30pm. Formal services to begin promptly at 2:30pm with food and refreshments to follow. His Celebration of Life will be open to the public.
