To the family : Condolences to the families of Fred and Marcie😘 I was on of best friends of Marcie as youngsters. And knew Fred and family very well. In fact (cute fact) Fred n I dated for a while after he came back from Okinawa . He was embarrassed to tell his sister he was dating her best friend, so he kept it secret. He appeared at my door one day in Philly and when I saw it was Fred, invited him in. I commented “what are you doing here “ and he answered “I don’t know ,what am I doing here?” We chatted for quite a while which led to going out on a number of dates. I really enjoyed his company . We always had a wonderful time . When we would go to a restaurant, he would order for me ! it was like kind of like “I know you so well, Of course I know what you would order. I always found it charming not at all annoying. . After quite a number of dates I realized that I was growing quite fond of him, but also at the same time I have been going out with another guy for eight months . Back In those days , It was not uncommon to be dating several guys at the same time but on different weekends of course. I realized I had to make a choice out of respect for both men. There was a strong attraction with Fred. I Could see , had we met earlier, there might’ve been a future. Alas, is it turned out . We both made other choices giving us both 50+ years with the love of our lives and beautiful families.
Anyhow, thank you for giving me an opportunity to share and, again condolences for both losses .
Warmest regards,
