Frankie's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Frankie De La Cruz Ochoa, born on August 2, 1991, who left us too soon on June 12, 2023. A shining light, funny, loving, artistic, and naturally talented, Frankie was a cherished member of his family and community.
Frankie is survived by his loving family, including his Mother Jewel Valenzuela, Brother Thaddeus Liversedge, sister Rosemary Liversedge, brother Dale Liversedge, sister Hannah Ochoa and brother David Ochoa, nieces Nyellie Nunez, Rylee and London, Nephews Cruz, Christian, Carter and Jett. Frankie was a devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, grandson and friend who made a deep and lasting impact on those who were fortunate to know him.
As an artist, Frankie loved all styles of art, with a particular fondness for street art. He spent many hours honing his craft of graffiti art and drawing and often created beautiful drawings for his beloved family members. Frankie also enjoyed skateboarding, running, wrestling, weight lifting, and participating in push-up competitions with his family.
Among his favorite pastimes, Frankie loved spending time with his family, watching documentaries about musicians and artists, and creating his own musical lyrics. Frankie was always so naturally talented at whatever he tried. For instance, he became the first 5th grader in his elementary school to earn a title for his fast mile time. He was also talented at BMX, baseball, wrestling, snowboarding and his biggest passion as a skateboarder. Frankie was an amazing skateboarder and won several skate park competitions including one at Tempe Skate Park. He relished being "Tio/Uncle Frankie" and shared countless laughs and jokes with his nieces and nephews. The lessons he shared with us all were to love everyone and always see the good in each other.
Frankie's greatest accomplishments were the love he gave his family and the strength and faith he shared with those around him. His legacy will be remembered as one of love and kindness for everyone. Our Frankie will be missed beyond measure for an eternity.
Funeral services for Frankie will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, beginning with a Rosary at 9:00AM-9:30AM, and Mass from 10:00AM-11:00AM, followed by his burial at Fairview Cemetery in Superior, AZ at 11:30AM. A reception will take place at Los Hermanos Restaurant & Lounge following his burial. We ask that you contribute in ways that are most healing for you, whether that is making a donation in Frankie's memory at https://everloved.com/life-of…, sharing memories, videos and photos of him or simply smiling and saying hello to a stranger, as Frankie was always friendly with others.
