Frank's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Shaffer, a cherished gem of our community. Frank, born on January 2nd, 1931, embarked on his final journey peacefully on October 29, 2025. He was a man brimming with joy, kindness, and an inquisitive spirit, his resonating laughter and clever wit the pillars of every gathering.
Frank was predeceased by his beloved wife, Guaracy Shaffer, a loss that he bore with remarkable grace. He is survived by his treasured son Robert Shaffer and dedicated daughters Lenore Shaffer and Cindy Shaffer, his devoted daughter-in-law. The light of his life was his grandchildren: Samantha, Brandon, Nicole, and Ralphie Shaffer, whom he nurtured with immense love and care, seeing in them reflections of his own kindness and joy.
Frank impressed upon us the importance of prioritizing family, health, and friends over anything else, sharing the belief that nothing unites people more than laughter, respect, and joy. His legacy of compassion, generosity, and kindness was evident in the love he showered upon his family and friends, both in Brazil and America, as well as in the grace with which he touched the lives of others. He was a living testament to the saying that a life well-lived is one filled with love and kindness.
He was the epitome of genuine love and appreciation, ensuring he never failed to express his love for those dear to him and inspiring others to do the same. His legacy—a beacon of compassion, generosity, and kindness—will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him.
Our hearts are heavy, but we take solace in knowing that his is now at peace. Frank's memory will live on, not only in the stories we share but in the way we choose to live our lives, just as he lived his. A loving father, an adoring grandfather, and an exceptional friend, Frank will be deeply missed by his family, community, and all who had the fortune to know him.
