Obituary

Frank Joseph Pitetti Jr.

September 5, 1969 – January 12, 2026

Frank Joseph Pitetti Jr., age 56, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2026, at his home.

Frank was born on September 5, 1969, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Helene Matunis Pitetti and Frank Pitette (born Pitetti), who preceded him in death. Family was central to Frank’s life from the very beginning, and his love and respect for his mother—known lovingly to many as Granny—remained constant …

Service Update for Frank Joseph Pitetti Jr.

As of January 20, 2026

Thank you all for the continued love, support, stories, photos, messages, flowers, meals, and quiet check-ins. Our family has felt deeply carried by this community, and we are grateful beyond words.

Following our meeting with the mortuary and continued coordination with Riverside National Cemetery, we would like to share an important update regarding service dates and locations. These arrangements reflect the earliest dates that all required parties were able to align while also being mindful of travel considerations for family and friends coming from out of town.

Informal Gathering — January 19 (Completed)

Last night, many of you gathered with us at Teakwoods Bar & Grill in Wildomar for an informal celebration of Frank’s life. This was Frank’s local watering hole, a place where he felt at home and was treated like family by staff and patrons alike.

Thank you to everyone who came out, raised a glass, shared stories, laughter, and memories, and took time to honor Frank together. Frank cared deeply about his people, and seeing that love in one room meant a great deal to our family.

Burial with Military Honors

Riverside National Cemetery
22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, CA 92518

Friday, February 13, 2026
• Please arrive by 10:00 AM
• Burial service begins at 10:15 AM

United States Marine Corps honors will be rendered at Riverside National Cemetery.

Transportation to the cemetery will be conducted by Miller-Jones Mortuary with several escort vehicles as part of a lawful and respectful procession, in accordance with cemetery regulations and Frank’s retired status.

There may be an additional guest participate in the cemetery service in recognition of Frank’s combined years of military and law-enforcement service. This is not yet confirmed, and more information will be shared if and when it becomes available.

Note Regarding Earlier Dates

We previously explored holding services around January 22, and later February 5–6. In each instance, the Honor Guard teams and supporting agencies were fully prepared and professional. However, final coordination across the mortuary, cemetery, and required honors could not be fully aligned on those dates.

Additionally, we became aware of significant travel constraints during the first week of February, including limited availability and increased airfare, which would have made it difficult for some family members and close friends to attend.

The decision to move forward with February 12–13 was made thoughtfully, balancing honor requirements, scheduling realities, and accessibility for those wishing to be present. We deeply appreciate the flexibility, professionalism, and respect shown by all parties involved.

Additional Memorial Planning

We are also exploring a future, water-based memorial in keeping with Frank’s deep connection to the ocean and fishing. This has not yet been scheduled, and details will be shared once plans are finalized.

Thank you again for your patience, understanding, and continued support as we move forward with these arrangements.

With gratitude,
The Pitetti Family
