Franco Joseph Biscardi passed away after a courageous struggle with cancer on Monday, April 23, 2018. He was 56 years old. Franco graduated from New York University in 1980 earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science and from University of Miami School of Law in 1984 with a Juris Doctorate. Just out of law school, Franco worked as an attorney for the City of New York dedicating his skills to the department of homeless services. His personal style and lifelong interest in interior design led him ultimately to join forces with his architect husband at Brady Design. For almost 20 years they designed homes around the Hamptons, New York, Philadelphia and Palm Beach. His work has been published in industry magazines and he has been a featured interior designer on television programs and in show houses. Always a passionate cook, he wrote the food blog Italian-Ate.com. He shared his expertise in cooking and entertaining, tapping into his experience as a sous chef for Mario Batali at his restaurant Po in the early 1990s. He took great pleasure in creating gourmet meals for his friends and family making every night feel special. Franco brought his love, passion and talent to every aspect of his life. He is survived by his loving family: husband, Brian Brady, mother, Nina Pentz, sister, Carla Biscardi and children, Alexandra and Patrick Brady. Services will be held on Saturday, April 28th at 10:30 AM at Brockett funeral home in Southampton, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to East End Hospice.
