Francis's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Francis "Peck" Seader, who left us peacefully on October 24, 2023. Born on May 29, 1935, Francis, also affectionately known as 'Peck', was a beacon of love, joy, and resilience to those who were privileged to know him.

Francis is survived by his loving granddaughter, Sydney Granger. He was predeceased by his cherished wife, Patricia Seader, his beloved daughters, Sandra Harris and Patti Seader, and his granddaughter, Nicole Seader.

Francis and Patricia were united in holy matrimony in 1955, marking the beginning of a love story that influenced many. Their family grew with the arrival of their daughters and grandchildren. A dedicated family man, some of Francis’s greatest accomplishments included getting married, being a father to two wonderful daughters, becoming a grandfather, and a great-grandfather. His legacy is one of kindness, respect, and dedication to family and community.

Francis made an impact in many ways, playing significant roles in his local communities such as becoming a Mason at Lake Drummond 178, and contributing to Portsmouth Moose Lodge 898.

Francis was a man of simple pleasures. He enjoyed Krispy Kreme donuts and his wife’s cooking, found comfort in a cup of coffee or chocolate milk, and didn’t mind indulging in some Black Velvet. He was a fan of western movies and cheered for the Washington Redskins. He found joy in playing lottery tickets and his recreational activities included watching TV, going to the lodge, and driving. He had a special fondness for Portsmouth Moose Lodge, one of his favorite local spots.

Francis had a personality that was selfless, funny, caring, and loving. He believed in working hard, doing what made you happy, and laughing until your sides ached. He was an example of humility and kindness to all those around him.

Francis departed this world knowing he was loved by many. He is now reunited with his family in heaven, his spirit smiling down on us, guiding us on the path he once tread.

A viewing to honor the life of Francis will be held on November 3, 2023 at 4:00 PM at JT Fisher Funeral Services. We invite all those whose lives Francis touched to join us in remembering this wonderful man.
