Frank's mere presence brought a smile and good cheer. I hear him in the osprey concert along the river and always in the wind.
Frank gave me my first accordion, when he gave it to me he said now don’t you leave this in your car, to which I replied of course not I will cherish it. He said no don’t leave it in the car because someone will knock the window out and throw 2 more in with it. :) I love you frank and FYI I have 2 more accordions now.
When I taught with Frank, he often reminded me that material things matted not at all! Thank you Frank!

So sad. This was my 3rd grade teacher in Colorado. This man’s calm, kindness, patience, and humor could put even the most struggling soul to rest. He brought music, and his love for it, into our classroom, and brought to life my love for music and books.
I remember times when we’d have other teachers bring their class to our room, and at some point Mr Scott would pull out his guitar and start playing for us all. Everyone would be singing along with him. He had an ease about him that brought out calm and laughter.
He was a great man. He will be missed by the many hearts he reached. I’m so thankful for the times that I did have with him.

“No laughing and absolutely no smiling!”

Frank,
We shared a lot of JOY together in the ‘70’s when I met you, my BROTHER. We were playing music together and that is when we bonded. Your heart and my heart felt each other. I know that the end of this life can bring a log of pain, so I know the LIGHT you are in right now is a better place to be. You understood the importance of music for the tribe and this was one of your passions. Death is a graduation toa higher experience. May the joy of your heart keep singing.

Frank wasn’t just a neighbor, he was like family. His whole family is. I grew up next-door to him and have some of the best childhood memories with him & his family. I would go over and hangout with some of his granddaughters where I would stay for dinner sometimes. I will always remember his homemade lasagna, their piano that I would get to practice on sometimes, his jokes (he’d call me Katie and I’d call him Frankenstein), and his music that you’d hear playing all the time. You will be missed Frank. You were such an amazing person!
‘Franco’ as we call him, is one of my oldest and dearest friends, who I magically met in a small village in southern Mexico back in 1972. It was instant brotherhood between us, and his good friend Armando. Back then his hair was like fire, to match his spirit and intellect. From the beginning our brotherhood began with the premise, 'we are here to Wake up', and to be as Christ taught, to be a good neighbor to all. He introduced me to some of the great philosopher’s that we both enjoyed reading throughout our lives...however, none were greater than he, as a man, as a husband, father and a friend.

How excited I was to see him and Armando walking up our country driveway a few months after we had met in Mexico. For a time, we lived in a country home on the western edge of the valley and became life long students of Cosmic Truths. He fell in love with the Valley, and soon his beloved Julie. We spent a couple years in Crestone, seeking inner guidance, eventually leading us both to become teachers...rather than waiting for the ‘Change’, in the world, we strived to be the change in the world we were seeking.

Frank had so many talents, he spoke pretty good Spanish for a Scotsman, a tribute to his intelligence and adaptability to merge into whatever culture he was visiting. He was a good with hammer, as he was reading some of the great literature he kept in his small library, or whipping a great song on his guitar, harmonica or squeeze box and freely passing his music and wisdom onto others.

In the first years of our relationship, we were so focused on remembering who we were as spiritual beings,...a wake up call of sorts from the Universe itself that we would and continue to explore throughout his Life, never losing sight of the mantra, ‘the Kingdom of God is within us’.

Everyone, that knew Franco, knows he lived as he taught, that we are to enjoy life, laugh and celebrate the short time we have here, never losing sight, even though it always sad to lose our loved ones, that we as spiritual beings, live forever. Many of our good friends, family and mentors have gone on before us, and now he is joined once again with his extended family. Surely like many of them, he will come visit in our times of need, whispering words of encourage, reminding who we are and to be about our Father’s business as the old saying goes.

He was an Uncle to my children, who loved him beyond words and he them. From him they have learned so many great lessons and to cherish above all the music they played together. To our special needs child, who now is 32, he was a best friend, Franco always had a gift for him when we visited, especially a older harmonica he no longer needed...franco, inaiah, and coty would have super jam sessions that I will surely miss.

We are going to miss you and our times together, the talks, the music, the times of celebration...Never will we forget the blessing it was to have 'you' Franco and your entire family in our lives as we continue our own journeys in this world. God bless you Franco, I know beyond a doubt you now walk with the great-spirits of old into your new journey we know as 'life-everlasting'. See you soon brother...you old gezzer...and remember, ‘No laughing’...Say hi to Vern and Glen for me... forever grateful for our friendship, jimmy

I remember being probably 8 or 9 years old fascinated by franks musical instruments . And he would brink out his guitar and accordion and let me play them on his porch . Those were the best memories growing up I also remember they got me a guitar for Christmas one year . Always leaving Easter baskets in our yard . Man I'm going to miss frank

I was replacing 3 doors on my house next door. Unsolicited, Frank showed up, tools and all, and announced that he was going to help me. It was wonderful to have his help, as the doors were all wonky and took a lot of cutting and fitting. He was always willing to help with music for a community need. He had such a generous and mellow spirit. I will always treasure my Lucky LaRue dvds. I think I can pick our the singers on them and of course the song about meeting Julie is a really sweet one.
