How do I respond? I have known Frances for over 35 years from her time in California. Our daughters were childhood friends. Needless to say we both are devastated and in disbelief.
I tried to reach out over the past few years. As the number I had was disconnected every so often I would search hoping to come across something. This post certainly was not what I was seeking.
Frances, you are beautiful person who taught me a lot about parenting. Your example of a strong, intelligent, fearless, single Black woman raising a child on her own is what I emulated. Thus our daughters both became strong, intelligent and fearless Black women. I am so happy to know you found your true love. You deserved nothing less. I love you and you will always be in my heart.
Sommer, Michelle and I are thinking of you. Love and miss you much. We are still here, both in the same places, if you need us.

My heart aches as this loss is so sad….she was my auntie, my second mother and a wonderful friend…words cannot describe the loss and heartache I feel ..to know Frances was to know a star…she lit a room whenever she entered, exuded warmth and kindness, and left a wonderful shadow that made you want to follow her light.😢
Thank you for your prayers …me and my family appreciate your condolences during our time of grief….have a blessed day and remember to always tell your loved ones how much you love and appreciate them …..our time on this earth is not promise….no matter what religion or GOD you believe in …take each day with humility, gratitude, and grace 😇🙏🏽
