Frances's obituary
Frances Danner, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed peacefully in hospice care in San Bruno following a long illness. She was 87.
Frances was born to Rose and Emanuel Bonnici in San Francisco, the eldest of five children. Frances graduated from Balboa High School (Class of 1955).
Frances married Donald Leonard FitzGerald on 6/21/1958 and gave birth to seven children: Donald Leonard Fitzgerald (Tamara), Anthony Gerard FitzGerald, Joseph Gerard FitzGerald (deceased one day following birth), Rosemary Laura Jessen (Tim), Susan Frances Dastrup (Chaz), Angela Marie Oppenheimer (Larry), and Timothy Lawrence Danner. She married Lester Austin Danner on 6/25/1972; he predeceased her on 11/19/2012 after 40 years of marriage.
Frances was an active member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharist Minister for the past 10+ years at the Saturday 5 PM mass.
Frances enjoyed crocheting, attending church activities, and visiting with friends.
Frances was beautiful, kind, loving, caring, devoted, prayerful, and determined. She was a dear friend to many, and always carried an infectiously loving and comforting spirit. She was loved in return by all. She brought sunshine into the lives of those who knew her.
Frances is survived by her six remaining children (mentioned above), siblings Gary Bonnici (Carole), Timothy Bonnici, and Rosemary Clerici (George); 9 grandchildren, at least 18 great-grandchildren, 4 nieces (Cherri Bonnici, Tammy Fisk, Amierose Porter, and Mari Shalin Bonnici), 4 nephews (Adam Bonnici, Matthew Clerici, Benjamin Clerici, and Jesse Clerici), and many cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Emanuel Bonnici; mother, Rosalina Bonnici; and brother, Emanuel Anthony Bonnici.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Pacifica, with Rosary & Memorial Mass from 11:00am to 12:45pm. Reception will follow at the church from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Frances chose to be cremated, and will be interred at a later date at Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno.

The family of Frances would like to extend their special thanks to her hospice nurse, Maricel from Sutter Care at Home Hospice, for the compassionate service she rendered to Frances in the final year of her life, and to the incredible staff at Araville Residential Care Home in San Bruno for the loving care they provided daily to Frances in her final year.
