Forrest Douglas Williams, Jr. (Jake) was born on June 14, 1972, at Fort Rucker in Enterprise, Alabama, to proud parents Doug and Debbie Williams. Born on Flag Day, Jake’s life was filled with the energy and color of the holiday — and it’s no surprise he grew into a true Eagle Scout.

He carried his warm, friendly nature into everything he did, from his days as a Scholar Athlete and standout pole vaulter in high school—earning DC’s All-Met honors—to his college years at the University of Virginia, where he set a the pole vault record. His loyalty to UVA sports never wavered.

After college, Jake jumped into the world of finance, starting out as an analyst at Dillon Reed and UBS. His career took him from Dallas to New York, Miami, and back to Dallas, where he co-founded Catalyst Holdings, a private equity firm.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jake was best known for his solid character, an infectious sense of humor, and his talent for forging lasting friendships. His kindness, courage, and compassion touched everyone he met. He learned the values of duty, honor, and country from his father, who exemplified those principles.

Jake leaves behind his wife, Susan, his mother Debbie, his sisters Lara Meadows (Judd) and Yvonne Rice (Derik), his brother Curt, and his cherished nieces and nephews: Mitchell and Katie Rice, and Tyler, Jordan, and Cole Meadows.
