Floyd's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Floyd Rowland, a cherished brother, nephew, and loyal friend, who was born on September 29, 1967, and left this world far too soon on November 26, 2024.
Floyd was kind and warm, always looking out for those around him. He was known best for his helpful, caring, and loving personality that endeared him to all who had the fortune of making his acquaintance. Floyd had a knack for making people feel special and loved, always lending an ear and extending a helping hand whenever it was needed.
Floyd found joy in the simple things in life. Some of his most cherished moments were those spent in the company of loved ones. The laughter, stories, and valuable time spent amongst family and friends were the things that truly defined his happiness.
Floyd leaves behind a son Zach Rowland of El Dorado, AR, his sister, Elaine Rowland Manning of Junction City, AR, and his brother, James Rowland of Independence, Iowa, who will miss his radiant smile and unwavering positivity. He is also survived by his beloved aunt, Joyce Rowland of Farmerville, LA.
Floyd joins in rest with his late father, Leon Rowland, his mother, Nancy Rowland, his brother, Leroy Rowland, and his stepmother, Shirley Rowland. His reunion with them brings a measure of comfort to those who knew and loved him.
Floyd's life was filled with the love and respect of those who knew him best. His departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but his memories will live on, a testament to a life well-lived and a man greatly loved. His legacy of love and warmth will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A private family memorial service will be at a later date at Eagle Mills cemetery in Fordyce, Arkansas. Floyd's wish and request was for his ashes to be placed next to his mother.
