Thinking about all the memorable times my parents had with you both, Joan and Ev. I remember Ev being a kind, thoughtful man who made me feel welcome whenever I met him.

Remembering Ev for his wise and gentle way with words. I love these from his sermon, "My Sense of the Holy": Who are we?
We are like the flowers who seek only to grow to their fullest and make arrangements for the next generation.
Where are we?
We are at play, here in the dirt, the sun, and the fresh air of a strikingly amazing planet.
Whither are we going?
I don't know. Ask a leaf of grass.
With thanks for Ev's being and loving wishes for all those who loved him, Mary Hamilton

I have much love and respect for Rev Ev. He handled his illness with strength and grace. I have a great memory of walking with him and Joan at the Sassamat camp one summer, and so enjoyed his attendance at church, often with their sweet dog.
Condolences to Joan and their families.

Ev will be remembered as a wonderful, talented, loving man who lived his life to the fullest. He will be missed.
A life well lived is a precious gift
of hope and strength and grace
from someone who has made our world
a brighter, better place.
It's filled with moments,
sweet and sad with smiles and sometimes tears,
with friendships formed and good times shared,
and laughter through the years.
A life well lived is a legacy,
of joy and pride and pleasure,
a living, lasting memory
our grateful heart's will treasure.
