Florence Hess, 101, of Rosedale, New York, passed away April 8, 2020 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Riverside Funeral Home at 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. Services at St. Bernadette and Veterans Cemetery TBD, due to COVID-19.
Florence was born in New York December 17, 1918 to Irish immigrants as Florence Mary McKiernan. Even though she was one of five children and went through the “Great Depression” she was ahead of her time and lived life to its fullest. Florence owned and operated the first Beauty Salon in Rosedale, New York named after her for 40+plus years. Florence was devoted to the Catholic Church, the American Legion and working the elections. She enjoyed horseback riding, concerts and events at the New Mexico Casinos.

Florence is survived by her daughters: Cynthia Hess, Florence and husband George, Grandchildren: David Budrodeen, Lori, Linda, and Lisa Murphy, five Great grandchildren and two Great great grandchildren.
