I hadn’t seen Fernita since the late 70’s and had been searching for her for a couple of years. I came across her Facebook page at one point and friended her but she never responded. It seemed that she hadn’t been active on FB for quite awhile. I kept trying. I even found that we had a mutual friend after all these years but that didn’t get me any closer to getting in touch with Fernita. Tonight, I thought to Google her name and that’s how I found that she had passed just recently. And to think that I was in Sacramento in early December. My heartfelt condolences to her family. Until we meet again. Love you!
