Baba!!, This one hits hard.

I remember my final interview with you at Andersen. it lasted  5mins. One of the most transformative 5minutes of my life.

I remember the cup of coffee always on your table, which you hardly drank, keeping it only for the aroma.

I remember your "harassments" when i had to get you to sign on on yellow papers , only to see you smiling as i left.

so much to remember,  THANK YOU  for the times of molding.

I pray for strength for the family

Rest well Baba!

We spoke for the first time when your dad was appointed the HoS of Ondo State. You became a feature in my life from that point on. Though we didn't talk all the time, but each time we did, you were always interested in my progress. You were always looking for ways to make others comfortable. Even when you were overwhelmed by your own responsibilities, you still found the means to assist others who were in need. You were a burden bearer. You will surely be missed as testified to by all who have been blessed to meet with you. Rest in peace my friend.

Mr. Abegunde, Owo is showing in your English! That's us, poking fun at Femi. And in his usual style, accepting it with grace and laughing out with us. Femi, you are a gentle soul, fun loving, hard working and making sure everyone around him are okay.

At your sister's 50th birthday party (the last time I saw you), we relieved old AA days, cracking jokes as usual. And you, as usual, had fun. Little did I know that will be our last.

Hey, you have had a nice innings mate! I pray that God console your family, give them comfort and succour. Give them peace in this trying times and the fortitude to bear your passing.

Bro Femi Abegunde,
I am still in shock about your death, however your honorable and your kind-hearted, generous personality will be remembered, you will be missed dearly. We thank God for a life well spent.May God comfort us and the family you left behind.
We love you but God loves you more. Rest in peace.
Adieu
Bukola Abegunde (sister-in-law)

Femi was always full of life since I have known him in 1981 when we were living together at the Senior Staff Quarters at Alagbaka Estate Akure. We got to Ife University around the same time and ended working together at Arthur Andersen. The Femi I knew spoke his mind the way he saw it-you either liked it or you didn't-a good product of the Arthur Andersen core value of "Think Straight, Talk Straight". We remained in constant touch after Andersen's implosion and shared business ideas/solutions. I always enjoyed my conversations with Femi even when we ended disagreeing. MAY HIS SOUL CONTINUE TO REST IN PERFECT PEACE!!!

It is still like a dream! Femo gone just like that! But what can we do but to thank God for an impactful life you lived. You were such an inspiration to so many people! Though you are gone, your memory will continue to linger on in our hearts.

There was never any dull moment with you. Who can forget our AGAFE 84 meetings! For you, item 7 must always become item 1. You were such a fun-loving person; always bringing humour to where ever you were. Of course, you would always remain our Director of Socials!

I remember the time we spent in Port-Harcourt when we were on a client engagement for a very long time.  I remember that you were on that engagement for years. It was so much fun that no member of the team felt any sense of inferiority. It didn’t matter who was the senior. Everything was done as if we were all equals. This was a testament to JT’s and your exemplary leadership. Everyone felt at home and at ease.

I also remember the many times that you and I spent gisting on so many issues. We would start from your house in ilupeju. You would then walk me back to my house in Palm-grove; only for me to walk you back to your house! We had so much to talk about that we never knew when time had passed. I cannot remember any time you lost your temper on any matter.  It was so easy to discuss and relate with you.

You were such a generous soul. You would go out of your way to meet the needs of others. You would gladly sacrifice your own needs just to ensure that others did not suffer.  You had such a caring and a big heart. There was space for everyone in your heart. Many of our class mates can testify to the many times you had assisted them to get or look for jobs. I still remember the way that you and your siblings took Ayo’s children  under your wings after his untimely demise.

We will surely miss you but will remember you for the light and joy you brought to the world! Our loss is heaven’s gain! Do Rest In Peace! May your memory be a blessing.

My thoughts and prayers are with Yinka and the girls, Bukky and Bunmi at this time. I pray that the good Lord will comfort and strengthen you. My sincerest condolences on this painful loss.

What a loss!

Femi was such a brilliant and amiable person!

We are Alumni  of Lagos Business School  Advanced  Management class (AMP14). The class was in 2002 when Femi was with Arthur Andersen. He cintributes intelligently in the class. He was such a lively person in and outside the class! Never a dull moment with Femi. Been active in his own way in the Alumni. We always look forward to him attending the meetings!

Femi, you will be sorely missed but I pray that the almighty God who loves you more than we do console your wife, Yinka, your children, the entire family and all the loved ones at this very trying time.

So sorry to hear of your passing Femi. Mat the Lord grant your family the fortitude to bear your loss and may your soul rest in peace.

So difficult to come to terms with the reality of the death of F-AB.

Femi was a very brilliant and resourceful professional with a knack for thinking out solutions to solve complex client problems.  The best team builder I 've known in my career is Femi Abegunde.

Femi will be sorely missed by all staff, partners and clients for the vibrancy he exudes at all times.
